Nicholas Keown-Robson scored twice and the men's soccer team did not allow a shot on goal in a 4-0 thumping of Florida Atlantic (0-2-0) on a rainy Monday afternoon at the UCF Soccer Complex. The Knights (2-0-0) have not given up a goal this season after blowing out Jacksonville 5-0 in their opener last week.

UCF came out of the gate slow with a lot of back and forth action until lightning suspended play and forced players and fans to evacuate the field with 11:38 remaining. The 35-minute delay proved to be just what the Knights needed, capitalizing on a scoring opportunity just minutes after play resumed and the rain continued to fall.

"I think we needed that break to be honest with you, we didn't come out as focused as we would have liked to start the game," said head coach Bryan Cunningham. "And to get that first goal before halftime I think really propelled us in the second half."

Junior midfielder Warren Creavalle picked up the ball on the right side of the box, after a failed attempt to clear the ball by the FAU defense, and put a shot just inside the right post for a 1-0 UCF lead in the 35th minute.

The Owls best chance to score came with less than 10 seconds left in the first half when a low shot from the top of the box sailed just wide left. The Knights defense challenged every FAU opportunity, as sophomore goalkeeper Shawn Doyle stood tall in net to collect his second consecutive shutout.

"We definitely think about [the shutout]," said Doyle. "We made one of our goals this year to try and get 10 shutouts, so we are working real hard and staying focused and they had zero shots tonight so that makes it a lot easier."

UCF extended their lead in the 47th minute on a beautiful passing play that netted Keown-Robson his first goal of the game. Midfielder Spencer Scott played the ball through the Owl's defense up to Eduardo Jimenez on the right side of the box, who crossed the ball back to a waiting Keown-Robson who blasted it home.
